Delivery is Not an Add On

Book Delivery

A recent example of that why companies should never get complacent with their delivery services is a video showing a FedEx driver being extremely careless with a delivery of a computer screen, which took the online world by storm and lead to a deluge of customer back lashes.

It always seems there are excuses surrounding instances like these. In particular the festive period is often made scapegoat by couriers as an excuse for poor practice such as late deliveries, damaged goods and missed deliveries.

It is true that the festive period is challenging for courier companies but it’s not an excuse to let standards slip. Companies should be confident in the fact that their supplier is delivering the same standard of service twenty four hours a day, 365 days a year.

Yes we can admit how hard it is sometimes during the festive period when deliveries are flooding in everyday. However Courier companies should expect this and have planned for these situations.

Many industries that use courier companies for deliveries need to understand that this service no matter good or bad will be reflecting on their brand.  For example in retail industry if a consumer orders online it will not be the courier company they will blame if their delivery is unsatisfactory, the blame will immediately be with the retailer.

Word of mouth is the key phrase here. If someone is not happy with the delivery of their goods you will know about it. With user generated content such as social networking sites readily available, people are using these outlets more and more to vent about the bad experiences they have had with the delivery of their goods.

Having a reliable and professional courier service for your company will bring many benefits that will be important to business. Timely deliveries of important documents or parcels will help build confidence of clients and will lead to repeat business.

At Eagle Couriers we understand the importance of our client’s reputation and will work hard to ensure that nothing will affect that. We understand that for companies who outsource this type of service they are looking for a courier company who will under promise but over deliver which is exactly what we do.

All in all it’s important to understand the benefits to using a good courier service. Deliveries need to be considered as an integral part of the courier package and not looked at as simply an add on.
