Scotland’s leading independent courier company has linked up with a specialist vehicle supplier to help meet increased workload across the country.
After a recent increase in delivery requests, Eagle Couriers has forged a partnership with Turner Hire Drive, to supply its entire fleet of delivery vehicles in a bid to address the growing demand for its services.
With bases in Edinburgh, Bathgate and Glasgow, Eagle Couriers counts BT, BBC and Procurement Scotland amongst some of its clients and thanks to the long term partnership agreement it has been able to replace vehicles to its 100 strong fleet.
Those who are used to seeing the brightly coloured red vans driving all over the country, will still be able to recognise their favourite courier.
Jerry Stewart, Director at Eagle Couriers, said: “This is a great partnership for us as it helps strengthen the size and capability of our fleet, allowing us to build upon our current services and increase our flexibility when it comes to meeting customer demand.
“We are always looking at new ways to improve our existing services and this is just one way of doing so. Our vehicles are one of our most important assets and it’s important that we have a fleet of vans, cars and bikes which can be relied upon.
“We are really looking forward to working with Turner Hire Drive and seeing the business and service benefits it will bring.”
In addition to these extra vehicles, Turner Hire Drive will also able to supply Eagle Couriers with extra vehicles on an ad-hoc basis in order to help meet demand during particularly busy periods, as well as handle any bespoke customer requests.
Davie Hood, Sales Manager at Turner Hire Drive Ltd, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with Eagle Couriers and hope that this new fleet of vans will go a long way in meeting their ever growing business needs.
“The ability to be able to adapt quickly and meet last minute customer demands is essential to any business and the flexible contract we have developed with Eagle Couriers should enable them to do so.”
Eagle Couriers has almost 30 years experience providing safe and quick logistics services to organisations across the private, public and third sectors, as well as working directly with consumers.
In total, they provide services to over 3,500 clients and employ over 100 drivers who ensure that client’s packages arrive on time and intact.
